EdgeTick app privacy policy

This policy covers the EdgeTick mobile app for Android and iPhone ("the app"), operated by Stocks Rocks Trading LLC ("EdgeTick", "we", "us"). The edgetick.com website is covered by its own privacy policy.

What the app collects

• If you do not sign in: no account information. To deliver the live scanner feed, the app connects to our servers, which see your device's IP address as part of normal network traffic. We use it only to deliver the service and to limit abuse.
• If you sign in with Google or Apple: your email address, your name, and the account ID that Google or Apple gives us. We use your email address to check whether you have an edgetick.com membership, which unlocks the full app.
• Alert settings: the scanners you turn alerts on for, your quiet hours and how many alerts per hour you want, plus a record of the alerts we sent you (ticker, scanner, time) so we can respect those limits.
• Push notification token: if you allow notifications, a token that lets us send alerts to your device through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging or Apple's push service.
• Subscription status: if you buy the in-app Mobile plan, Google Play or the App Store processes the payment and tells us whether your subscription is active. We never see your card or bank details.
• Voice settings (voices, speed, mute) are stored on your device only.

How we use it

To run the app: show the live scanners your plan includes, send the alerts you turned on, decide which plan you are on, answer support requests, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. The app has no ads.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run the app for us, and only what each one needs: Railway (hosts our app server and database), Google Firebase and Apple (deliver push notifications), Google and Apple (sign-in and in-app purchases), our subscription management provider (in-app purchase status), and edgetick.com (to check your membership by email). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information until you delete your account. Information for people who never sign in is not stored in an account.

Deleting your account

In the app, tap Account, then Delete account. Your account and everything listed above is deleted right away. You can also email us; see how to delete your account.

Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to our systems is limited to the people who run EdgeTick.

Children

The app is meant for adults (18 and over) and is not directed to children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
